GDPR
On May 25 2018, new EU General Data Protection Regulations come into force. It requires that all personal data held by organisations is with the consent of that person and is held securely and managed properly.

At Simmonds.Mills architects, we have always taken your data privacy very seriously. We never share your information with third parties without your consent.

If you are a client, your email, and in some cases, address, and telephone number, are held on the Simmonds.Mills database. This is for use in contacting you as our clients, and third parties who are involved in your job. These contacts are always made with your knowledge and consent.

It is a legal requirement, that as architects, we are required to maintain our job records for the limit of our liability for our projects, and run-off cover into retirement. From Standard 8 of the Architects’ Code – Standards of Conduct and Practice (see ARB.org.uk), we are expected to have adequate and appropriate insurance cover for the practice and its work. Publicly-funded buildings may need cover for longer periods than those for private clients. These issues are always discussed with you in establishing our work contract. This professional liability, and the longevity of building projects, guides our methods of maintaining our records.

If you have any queries about this process, please email us at info@simmondsmills.com  or via the contact page on our website. thanks
