News from Eco-village, Tanzania

May 2021: Building work for the first of the new houses we’ve designed for the Eco-village over the last couple of years is now finally due to start this year. The global pandemic has of course interrupted the programme, but project managers in Dar-es-Salaam, working with the client group in UK and ourselves are negotiating a start.

We have made contact with interesting work happening further South in Tanzania on some experimental housing being built in Mtwara. https://www.studiohannahwood.com/starhomes gives some background to this project. We have started negotiation with Hannah Wood and Otis Brittain for their project to offer some specialist design / construction work on the steel-framed glass-less windows we want to use at the Eco-Village.
